About Us

The African Global Health Network is comprised of African students and non-African Students at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health who have worked on the African continent or who would like to learn more about public health issues in Africa and in the diaspora. With a vision for diversity, inclusivity, dynamism, and impact, the student-led organization aims to not only support the academic and professional development of its members but also cultivate a vibrant community committed to advancing public health initiatives in Africa and the diaspora. Objectives: 1) Building a Supportive and Diverse Community 2) Increasing Enrollment and Support of Pan-African Students 3) Developing Professional Growth 4) Encouraging Africa-focused Collaboration & Partnerships 5) Increasing Discourse Around Public Health Issues in Africa
