Here at the Mailman School, we’ve designed a robust orientation experience to help make your transition to graduate school as smooth as possible. Our combination of an asynchronous pre-orientation and a multi-day in-person orientation ensures that you feel prepared and supported from day one.
Over the summer students will be asked to complete a Pre-Orientation on CourseWorks. The Pre-Orientation allows students to engage with key content and university resouces in a flexible format over a series of weeks. Students may be asked to complete a quiz, submit an assignment or mark a task as complete.
A multi-day, in-person Orientation will take place at the end of August. During this time, students will hear from key university partners, participate in mandatory trainings, connect with their academic departments, and enjoy a variety of social activities designed to help them meet fellow students. Students will receive a personalized schedule for Orientation, which will be posted in their student portal in early August.
